Surgery & Cancer short course guide
This page provides resources for those developing and organising short courses in the Department. A Short Course Guide
has been produced to help minimise the amount of administrative effort required.
New courses
These must be approved via a Departmental Business Case
to ensure that the course will be in keeping with the Department's strategy and financially viable. College approval will also need to be obtained.
This Short course schedule
sets out when you would need to complete each step to be able to run a course by Jun 2012 (to enable the revenue to be included in the Department's 2011-2 bottom line).
Details on setting up payment mechanisms are also available.
eLearning courses
If you are looking to set up a fully or partly eLearning-based course, please get in touch with Dr Tim Ebbels (t.ebbels@imperial.ac.uk), who is the Department's lead for this.
Existing courses
The short course guide contains various appendices designed to save course organisers/administrators' time in creating the various documents that will be required for their course.
Assistance in course organisation/support can be provided by the Symposium Office.
To offer suggestions on improving the documentation or for further information, please contact Charlie Greenhill (c.greenhill@imperial.ac.uk, 020 759 0894)
