Health and Safety - Department of Surgery and Cancer
The Department of Surgery and Cancer operates across different campuses.
Arrangements for Health and Safety may be slightly different on each site and may even differ in buildings.
The Campus Health and Safety pages include information on Health and Safety arrangements at the different campuses and provide details of specific arrangements in certain buildings at those campuses. If you are seeking information on emergency contacts, waste procedures, or want to know where you should assemble in case of fire, then you should be able to find the information you need on the Campus Health and Safety pages .
They also include useful links to information within the College Safety Department's web pages,
Department of Surgery and Cancer Health and Safety Policy
Department of Surgery and Cancer Health and Safety Committee
Risk Assessment
College requires that the risks of all activities, on and off site, which may affect the health and safety of its staff, students and others are assessed. The risk control measures that are implemented should be what is reasonably practicable in the circumstances and should be regularly monitored and reviewed. The way assessments are undertaken will depend on the nature of the activity and the type and extent of its hazards and risks.
College risk assessment forms can be found under subject area or by using the "Forms and Checklists" link on the Safety Department's web pages. If you cannot find them on the Safety Department pages, try the Occupational Health web pages; several types of risk assessment forms are available on these, including DSE (computer), manual handling and pregnancy risk assessment forms.
