Where we are
The NHLI Education Centre is located on Sydney Street, beside the Royal Brompton Hospital, and close to the Fulham Road and King’s Road. The centre offers excellent public transport links, less than ten minutes by foot from South Kensington underground station, which is serviced by the District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines. This allows easy access to all transport hubs, especially Paddington and King’s Cross and St. Pancras stations and Heathrow Airport. Buses which run nearby include the 11, 14, 19, 22, 49, 211, 319, 345, and 414. We are also a short distance from the Cromwell Road, with easy access to the M40. (However, we encourage our delegates to use public transport, as parking is difficult to find in the area and we are unable to offer car spaces to all.)
Local Attractions
For those in search of local attractions, the Royal Albert Hall by Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, location of Kensington Palace, are both within easy reach of the centre, less than a mile away. The area is also home to the Arts and Crafts museum the Victoria and Albert and the Natural History Museum. Both can be found on Cromwell Road just beyond the underground station. The Science Museum is also located close to the Natural History Museum, on Exhibition Road. Finally, if you wish to relax after a long day in meetings, the stunning Chelsea Physic Garden is a short walk to the southeast at 66 Royal Hospital Road.
The shops of Brompton Road are also within walking distance. Knightsbridge, one underground stop from South Kensington, boasts the famous retailers Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
