Faculty of Medicine

Entry requirements

Our programmes are aimed at all healthcare professionals with a role in prevention of cardiovascular disease, such as doctors, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, physical activity specialists, pharmacists, psychologists, occupational therapists, sports scientists, health promotion and public health specialists.

Candidates will be expected to hold a good first degree (normally at least an upper second or MBBS) from a UK university or an equivalent qualification if obtained outside the UK. For those who do not hold a first degree at the required level, a special case can be made if the student has demonstrated aptitude for the course through at least 3 years of high quality work experience in a relevant field of cardiovascular health.

Candidates coming to the UK from abroad or who do not have a degree from the UK will be asked to provide an acceptable result in one of the recognised English language tests. Details of which can be found on the university website more details.
