The programme has been designed to be applicable to students with a wide range of background skills in paediatrics, who require a detailed understanding of core research methodologies, critical evaluation, evidence-based approaches and the scientific basis of childhood disease. It is perceived that many of the students will be Specialty Trainee doctors in paediatrics (specialist registrar level ST4-8), however the programme will be specifically designed to be multidisciplinary and therefore also suitable for other healthcare professionals working with children and young people including GPs, nurses and therapists. As a result the programme has a core first year for all participants on the PG Cert, with more diverse options available in the second year for students continuing on to the PG Diploma or MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health.

We welcome applicants from within the UK, the EU and worldwide. The programme has been compiled so as to be compatible with the Bologna Process.

The collaborative environment means everyone volunteers ideas and insights. At Imperial you matter. We understand that studying for a postgraduate degree can be an intense experience. That is why we pay particular attention to the atmosphere and culture of the programme. You will thrive in an environment that is informal, friendly and supportive. You will interact with some amazing people who will inspire you.

At Imperial College we take student satisfaction seriously; to monitor this we ask for student feedback several times a year. You will receive feedback forms to fill in (by hand or online) at the end of each module, asking you what you liked, disliked and if there is any room for improvement.

Imperial College’s uses the SOLE (Student OnLine Evaluation) survey system as one of the methods by which students can provide course feedback. For this course we use a different system but you are welcome to have a look at other Imperial College courses' feedback by visiting www.imperial.ac.uk/sole and logging in with your student ID.
