Imaging Centre
Henry Wellcome Imaging Centre - St Mary's Campus
The Henry Wellcome Imaging Centre offers a wide spectrum of microscopy capabilities, from widefield (inc. time-lapse) and confocal to correlative TEM. The centre includes a Category 2 lab, tissue culture hood, incubators, and EM preparation equipment (inc. Leica EM TRIM, Leica Ultracut UCT, Leica EMFCS, and Biacore). The centre is ideal for immunocytochemistry or tissue and cellular biology work.
Training and support are available from Mike Hollinshead
Microscopes
-
Zeiss Axiovert 200M widefield fluorescence - An inverted microscope with a fully motorised stage and a large range of filter sets from UV to far-red and a highly sensitive AxioCam HRm running Axiovision. The microscope is contained within Cat. 2 laboratory conditions and is equipped with a Solent Scientific incubator to house samples. It is capable of time lapse video and phase contrast microscopy.
