The Autonomic Nervous System in the Regulation of Metabolism

Research in my laboratory is focused on the role of the autonomic nervous system in the regulation of metabolism. Our studies reach from the molecular and cellular to a systems level and relate primarily to diabetes and obesity. Possible projects for academic clinical fellows

• Development of tools for viral gene delivery to modulate autonomic activity in vivo
• Models of diabetic neuropathy
• Autonomic dysfunction in sepsis

Additional projects that fall into the remit of the lab can potentially be organised upon request
