Our research
Healthcare involves a vast and diverse body of individuals and teams, working within and across numerous organisations. Our research reflects the complexity of the systems and processes which we seek to improve
Improving the safety and quality of care requires intervention at different levels of an organisation and the involvement of patients and staff, and attention to specific clinical issues. Our research addresses both these aspects:
-
Cross cutting themes address core issues which are relevant in all healthcare settings.
-
Clinical programmes of safety and quality research focus on particular clinical areas and interventions to address specific problems. They tend to be more concerned with the implementation and improvement of care, but also draw on the wider research themes.
