Headed by Professor Paul Farrell, the Section plays a leading role in research in virology and cell biology. Virology undergraduate teaching is also provided by this Section.
PhD students
Applications for Imperial College and Wellcome Trust schemes for 2013 intake have now closed. The Virology section still welcomes enquiries from potential students who have external funding.
Royal College of Science Unions Science Challenge 2013
Our congratulations to Ben Bleasdale, PhD student in the Virology Section, who recently won 1st prize in this competition for his scientific essay. He was presented with his prize at the House of Lords by Lord Winston.
